Why the Kanpur Office Matters for Students

Recognition status, programme structure, fee transparency, flexibility, and the quality of academic support all play a role in the decision, and getting reliable answers on these can be harder without access to trained counsellors.

The office is expected to support students exploring programmes across disciplines such as management, computer applications, commerce, arts, and other higher education fields, catering both to recent graduates and working professionals looking to upskill without pausing their careers.

Why NTA Issued This Travel Advisory

New Delhi is set to host the 18th BRICS Summit at Bharat Mandapam from September 11 to 13, and with a high-profile international gathering of this scale comes heightened security. Delhi Traffic Police and other authorities are expected to impose route diversions and restrictions in several parts of the city in the days leading up to and during the summit, which overlaps closely with the September 9–10 re-exam dates. Anticipating that this could affect candidates' commute, NTA proactively issued an advisory urging early travel planning, even though the exam centres themselves are not located in the zones expected to face direct restrictions.

NTA's Advisory: What Candidates Should Do

NTA has laid out a clear set of precautions for everyone appearing in the re-exam:

Plan your route to the exam centre well in advance.

Build in extra travel time to account for possible diversions, restrictions or congestion.

Check the latest advisories from Delhi Traffic Police and local authorities before leaving home.

Reach the centre well ahead of the reporting time printed on your admit card.

Did You Know?
UGC NET June 2026 saw 7.74 lakh registrations and 6.07 lakh candidates appear, but only 1.48 lakh qualified. That means 4.60 lakh candidates who appeared did not qualify, nearly 76% missed the qualification criteria.

If you didn’t qualify, waiting for the next NET cycle could mean putting your academic and career plans on hold. A Plan B with an Online Degree from a UGC-approved university, along with CollegeVidya counsellors, can help you continue your education while preparing for your next attempt.

Don’t let one exam decide your future. Keep your career moving with a strong Plan B.

Given that reporting deadlines at NTA exams are strictly enforced, even a short delay caused by unexpected traffic could mean missing your shift entirely, so treat this advisory as a serious heads-up rather than a routine notice.

Why Is the Re-Exam Being Held in the First Place?

This re-examination isn't a routine event, it follows the discovery of spelling and factual errors in the English, Commerce and Sociology question papers during the original UGC NET June 2026 cycle. Results, final answer keys, and cut-offs for the remaining 84 subjects from that session have already been declared; only these three subjects are being retested. Candidates appearing for the re-exam won't be charged any additional fee, since this is being conducted to correct the original error rather than as a fresh attempt initiated by candidates.
