Did You Know?
CTET February 2026 saw 26.49 lakh registrations and 23.24 lakh candidates appear, but only 5.97 lakh qualified. That means 17.27 lakh candidates did not qualify, with nearly 3 out of every 4 candidates missing the qualifying mark.

If CTET didn’t go as planned, don’t let one exam result put your career on hold. Consider an Online Degree from a UGC-approved university as a Plan B while preparing for the next CTET attempt or building qualifications for other career opportunities.

Why Was CTET September 2026 Deferred?

The 22nd edition of CTET was originally slated for September 6, 2026. That plan changed after CBSE, acting in compliance with a Supreme Court judgment, reopened the CTET application window between August 25 and September 1 for candidates who had missed the original registration period of May 11 to June 10. With a fresh batch of candidates now added to the mix, the board pushed the exam date indefinitely rather than going ahead with the September 6 schedule. A revised date for the September session is expected to be announced soon.

Application Correction Window Now Live

To give both old and newly-registered candidates a chance to fix any errors before the revised exam, CBSE activated the CTET 2026 application correction facility on Monday, September 7, 2026. The window stays open till September 10, 2026, after which no further edits will be entertained, so if you've spotted a mistake in your form, this is your only shot to fix it before the exam.
