IIT Madras is going to close the late-fee registration window for GATE 2027 today, 12 October 2026. The regular registration window without a late fee closed on 5 Oct 2026. Students who haven't completed their registration should do so today. No future extension has been announced yet. After that, the correction window will open on 14 October.

GATE 2027 Registration Application Fee

The GATE 2027 application fee varies according to candidates' category. For complete details, candidates should visit the official website https://gate2027.iitm.ac.in/. According to IIT Madras official GATE guidelines, the application fee is non- refundable. Students can't get any refund after registration

Exam-related important details

The GATE computer-based exams are conducted across three consecutive weekends in two daily sessions. In case of any unforeseen circumstances beyond control, on that condition the examination date may be postponed or cancelled without prior notice

Correction window

The GATE application correction window will open on 14 October 2026 and will close on 21 October 2026. The correction window is a limited duration. During this time, students who have already submitted their GATE 2027 form  can correct their mistakes or incorrect details in their application form for example if a student has entered incorrect information in an editable field then they may be able to correct their detail during this time
