IIT Kharagpur opens the application window for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2027 tomorrow, September 12, 2026. IIT JAM 2027: Registration Opens Tomorrow

The application portal, part of the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS), activates on the main website from tomorrow. Note that this is a revised date, IIT Kharagpur had initially indicated an earlier window before pushing the opening to September 12 alongside the release of the official brochure. Candidates can apply for up to two test papers, provided both fall in different exam sessions, since one candidate cannot sit for two papers scheduled in the same shift.

IIT JAM 2027: Exam Date and Session-Wise Paper Split

The exam will be conducted on February 14, 2027, in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, split across two sessions:

2. Click on "Application Portal" on the homepage
3. Register with your name, a valid email ID, and an active mobile number, and create a password
4. Verify via the enrolment ID and the OTP sent to your registered email and mobile number
5. Log in and fill out the complete application form
6. Upload the required documents, academic marksheets, photograph, signature, and category/PwD certificates where applicable
7. Select the test paper
8. Pay the application fee based on choosen category and number of papers
9. Submit the form
