A detailed notification has been released for EPFO Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), announcing 80 APFC vacancies. The registration has finally started; eligible candidates can submit their forms till 11th of September through the UPSC online application portal.

A total of 80 Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner posts have been announced:

  • General: 29 vacancies
  • EWS: 8 vacancies
  • OBC: 18 vacancies
  • SC: 15 vacancies
  • ST: 10 vacancies
  • PwBD reservation: 3 vacancies

UPSC EPFO APFC 2026 Syllabus

One of the key changes in the latest notification is that Labour Laws has been replaced by Labour Codes in the APFC syllabus.

The syllabus covers:

  • General English
  • Indian culture, heritage and freedom movements
  • Developmental issues and current trends in the Indian economy
  • Governance and Constitution of India
  • General Science
  • Basic computer applications
  • Elementary Mathematics, Statistics and General Mental Ability
  • Industrial Relations
  • Labour Codes and Social Security in India
  • Principles of Accountancy
  • Auditing and Insurance
  • Current national and international events

UPSC EPFO APFC Eligibility 2026

  1. Candidates should have a degree from a recognised university, preferably a diploma in Company Law, Labour Laws or Public Administration
  2. Maximum age to apply for General and EWS candidates is 35
  3. Applicable relaxation will be provided as per government rules
